Way back in 2012 I was out attempting my usual wildlife photography in the forest. I loved exploring and experimenting with macro and had a great interest in animals. I started producing work like this:
And I still love to create this style of image, but in the exact same trip that I captured these 3 images, I also captured this:
Although this isn't really a portrait, that small glimpse of a human through the trees captured my attention immediately. I wanted to know her story. Why was she walking? What she was doing? From then on, I wanted to capture people and their stories. I love to see people's personalities in an image and I will always treasure this photo for showing me the beginning of that journey.
